Dubai, UAE – Dr. Ahmed Shahrman, General Manager of Euro Assist, has been honored with the Distinguished Leadership Award as one of the most influential leaders in international medical services. The award was presented during the Health 2.0 Conference, held for the first time in the Middle East in Dubai. Dr. Shahrman was among 14 global leaders recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field of medical assistance and travel insurance.

The award acknowledges Dr. Shahrman’s efforts in advancing international medical services, particularly his role in one of the largest travel insurance projects worldwide—the Egyptian Passport Travel Insurance Program. This initiative, implemented by the Egyptian Travel Insurance Pool, provides coverage for approximately 23 million Egyptian passport holders, ensuring their protection across the globe. Egypt is the first country globally to implement such a large-scale project, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding citizens abroad.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Shahrman dedicated the award to the Euro Assist team, emphasizing their relentless dedication over the years in building a strong organization and executing major projects successfully. He also expressed gratitude to the Financial Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Interior, whose support was instrumental in bringing this ambitious project to life.
